Schlumpf were celebrating 100 years as engineers and 30 years manufacturing Winding equipment when Arrowhive started. Schlumpf have always had a reputation for manufacturing quality winding shafts and Chucks. Now they have a huge range of Winding shafts to serve all areas of the Converting industry, from Narrow web to wide web paper converting machines.

Schlumpf can supply a range of lightweight aluminium profile multi bladder shafts as well as shafts for medium to severe applications manufactured from aluminium, steel and carbon composites. In other words Schlumpf can manufacture the right shaft for the job at a economic price, with excellent support and back up more many years of reliable service.

Since those early days Arrowhive have added other quality products to enhance their portfolio; Schlumpf range of Reel and Shaft handling equipment, Lundberg edge trim removal and granulation systems and Proton Non-Contact speed length gauges.

Philip has twenty-five years experience in the Converting Industry. He started Arrowhive in 1986 handling many of the Web control products that we handle today such as Montalvo Brakes, Tension Control and Schlumpf Reel handling equipment. Phil is a mechanical engineer and spent his early career in the plastics industry in production Management and then sales. His knowledge of plastics comes in handy when discussing modern packaging construction.

Martin Fletcher joined Arrowhive in 2000 as the Materials Handling Consultant responsible for developing UK sales of handling equipment from Schlumpf and security shredding, edge trim and matrix extraction/granulations systems from Lundberg. In addition Martin would also advise on our other product ranges from Montalvo, SKL and Proton.
